JULY 2019 UPDATE
Demolition of the Parker Center began in the Fall of 2018; removal of the above-ground structure was completed in July 2019. The final below-ground demolition of the structure was completed in the Fall of 2019.
Demolition included the environmentally-responsible, floor-by-floor removal of the hazardous materials, followed by the deconstruction of the building, foundations, and utility tunnels.
Engineering also relocated the utilities, re-routed the fiber-optic network, and installed duct banks to bundle and protect buried cables (electrical, fiber optics, etc.).
